A Study of Critical Thinking Skills Practice in Collaborative Writing in EFL Context

The present study aims to explore critical thinking from EFL Thai students’ perspectives in collaborative writing activity. subjects were 32 second-year English major students composing paragraph the Writing II course. They divided into three groups based on their proficiency: advanced, intermediate, and novice, data was collected using quantitative qualitative approaches. skills questionnaire utilized collect data, results analyzed Mean Standard deviation. For an interview used practice of six randomly selected. revealed that highest found analyzing (Mean=3.47, SD=1.15), followed by evaluating (Mean=3.44, SD=1.27), creating (Mean=3.34, SD=.03), respectively. results, it high level proficiency group reported they practiced analyzing, evaluating, creating. produced a new sentence paragraph, selected best ideas, categorized supporting details information ideas peers. Regarding intermediate novice groups, identically frequently evaluating. Analyzing assessing two abilities commonly utilized. have do with comparing choosing content, as well elements arguments statements. As result, appeared promote pupils use when writing.
